Dave Berry and the Cruisers

Dave Berry and the Cruisers

Beginning as a popular local outfit around Sheffield, Dave Berry formed the Cruisers in 1960. They enjoyed a Top 20 hit in 1963 with their first record, Memphis Tenessee, which led to their success with the classic hit, The Crying Game in 1964. The Geoff Stephens penned song brought Berry's voice to his biggest international audience ever in 1992, when it was used as the theme song for one of that year's most successful films - Neil Jordan's The Crying Game.
