Madness

The Kings of 2 Tone Ska, Madness burst onto the music scene in the late 1970s and went on to leave an indelible mark on the industry which still resonates today. In 1976 the core of Madness was born in the form of The North London Invaders which lasted through to 1978 where they renamed themselves Morris and the Minors. It was in 1979 that the band renamed themselves Madness and released their first single The Prince which peaked at No.16 in the UK Charts. Recognition and success followed with the release of their debut album One Step Beyond and they went from strength to strength releasing hits like Baggy Trousers, Our House and It Must be Love.
